Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 6:30 amโ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (718) 796-4209. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is gardengourmetmarket.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 2,154 reviews, which is a strong result for a specialty food store in Bronx and suggests consistent service.
Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bronx follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

So I've been coming to GG for over 15 plus years. The main reason is the Greek products / food . The hot greek food is outstanding. The different greek cheeses are excellent. My reason leaving this review of 3 stars is my disappointment in the cheese and spinach mini trays I bought. Both of them tasted horrible. Like the filo tasted like cardboard and no taste to either the spinach or the cheese at all ! One had 1 day to go before expired date, the other had 3 days to go before being expired. In reading other reviews, I dont understand why you guys would have left trays out knowing expiration dates are too close to sell. We dont eat all these in one sitting but over a few weeks. That being said, I cant believe both of these mini trays tasted disgusting. My next issue is Check Out !! At the time I checked out , I had a young lady, I asked if she was open, just stared at me, no response, again, hi !! Are you open, as she was talking to another worker but no one was in the check out line. I again asked, no answer, so I just started to take my few items I had in my grocery bag that I brought into the store and slowly take them out. I specifically asked, mam , can you please stop th

My previous review of this place was it provided high quality products and convenience. However, over the past year, the quality of its produce, products, support staff, and delivery service, has gone significantly downhill. For over a year, I've overlooked frequently missing items, expired items, and selection of the lowest quality produce available. This has become especially problematic when I use their delivery service. Recently, I made an online order for a delivery window of 4:00pm - 6:00pm. When at 6:40pm the order still had not arrived, I called to inquire. An alternate manager came on the line, and when I inquired further about the order, he abruptly hung up the phone after being vague and elusive about when the delivery will arrive. The delivery finally arrived over an hour late, and another item I ordered, was missing. It has also become clearer, and with unknown reason, their support staff have been acting passive-aggressively, either frequently omitting or including items I did not request-even after indicating several times over the phone what I was looking for. I overlooked these frequent instances for at least a year now, attributing it to human error, but recentl

I've been coming to the Garden Gourmet Market for as long as I've been old enough to shop by myself. Unfortunately, it has taken a big downturn in the last two years. The Gourmet used to be a great place to get specialty items and fresh produce -- prices were always a little high, but it was always worth it. Lately they have tons of expired stock on the shelves. I bought garlic recently and every single head was sprouted when I peeled it the same day (sprouted garlic is still edible, but very bitter). The "fresh" ginger is so shriveled and soft that it isn't worth buying. I've found items still stocked on the shelves that were anywhere from 2 weeks expired to 9 months (!!!) expired. The bread on the higher up shelves tends to be covered in visible mold. Today I bought bread that did not have any expiration date marked, opened it up when I got home, and found it covered in moldy blue spots that were hidden by the packaging. Why am I paying high prices for moldy bread? Why isn't stock being regularly rotated? The employees here are always kind and pleasant, but something is clearly going wrong at the Gourmet. If you have to shop here, keep a close eye on the expiration dates and mayb

Garden Gourmet Supermarket is a true gem for anyone who values fresh, high-quality food. Their variety of fresh produce is simply outstandingโeverything is vibrant, crisp, and bursting with flavor. Iโm always impressed with their selection of fruits and vegetables, which is consistently top-notch. Their cheese section is another highlight, offering a wide range of both local and international options that cater to all tastes. Whether youโre looking for a sharp cheddar or a creamy brie, youโll find something delicious here. The deli is equally impressive, with a great selection of meats and prepared foods that make meal planning a breeze. The store is always well-organized, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making it a pleasure to shop here. Garden Gourmet has truly become my go-to spot for fresh, quality ingredients. Highly recommended!
